  1. Just curious, how much is the deposit to hold the position/accept your spot?
  2. This sounds like a lovely idea lol! I look forward to the day after I submit my thesis and finish my exams! But everything would go a lot more smoother if I just knew already! And, I could totally go for some hot yoga classes, wine, ice cream, and lot of time to put towards creative activities!!
  3. Me and my partner both applied for the MSW @ Windsor and we both got rejection emails the same day, pretty much at the same time. So, as long as you didn't get a rejection letter from Windsor, I would say your Okay I got my rejection in an email on March 18, 2015 at lunch time! I would say your definitely still on the list
  4. For those of you who have been accepted to the 2-Year MSW @ U of T, did you status ever change to "decision made" on the https://apply.sgs.utoronto.cawebsite? Thanks!
  5. Yes, that makes complete sense! Thanks for the insight and reply!
  6. Thanks! And, I must say, that is impressive! Good for you! Also, something I always get hung up on, is what is considered as social service work. I have lots of volunteer work with different positions, but is it only considered "social services" if you are working within a facility that provides access to services for society? For an example, I've been involved with the Psychology Society at my university for three years and am now holding the position of president for the society. Every year we holds numerous fundraiser to raise money for a local mental health organization and to raise awareness for mental health and stigma. Although this is very relevant for social work, I doubt that it would fall under social service experience? Whats everyones thoughts?
  7. My research methods course was 2000 (A-) and my other four research courses were at 2000, 3000, 3000, 4000 levels. I did the same as well! I talked about how relevant this research is to social work, mental health, ect. I really hope they put out more acceptances, and that it is also done soon!
  8. Hey everyone! For everyone applying to the 2-Year MSW Programs, I was wondering how many hours you with social service experience? I have about 175 hours in total among a few different places I am volunteering/volunteered at, and am worried it isn't enough. Out of all my applications, this is where I seem to lag. Also, throughout this upcoming week or two, if anyone else gets accepted/rejected to U of T (2-Yr MSW), or receives mail from them, will you let me or all us of know Thanks again everyone!
  9. I am currently completing an undergraduate degree in Honours Psychology right now and I haven't been accepted/rejected yet from Factor-Inwentash. However, I completed my research methods course in Winter of 2013 and got an A- in the course. Since then, I have also taken three upper level research courses and have conducted two pieces of original research and am in the process of submitting both pieces for publications. So, from my perspective, the research methods course doesn't play a large role in why I haven't heard anything yet. But, I could see it playing a role for those who are still in the process if completing a research methods course. Who knows.
  10. Thanks for the clarification @lightning1129. I will definitely keep this in mind during these next few days or week! Also, congrats on being accepted to U of T @lightning1129 I am just dying to know where I will be heading to in September, and if it will be University of Toronto! U of T only sends admission via mail, and not e-mail, right? It has been such a long wait since I've applied but these past few days (as April approached), have been the longest. Goodluck to all of you out there and Congratulations to those who have been accepted!
  11. Sorry, that was probably misleading. I was contact via email and got an interview with St.Thomas on February 27, but I rejected/declined the interview because I was already accepted into the BSW @ Maine University at that point. My partner and I got accepted into Lakehead at Orillia Campus . So, if we don't get into any MSW program, we are super excited for this!! Thats great about U of T. A friend from Halifax, N.S. was recently accepted into their 2-year MSW at U of T and I was hoping letters were making there way to the East Coast. Here to hoping I also recently discover the ROSI system for U of T and how it will update (almost immediately?), so that is super exciting! Good luck to you as well!
  12. Has anyone heard they've been rejected from U of T? If so, when did you hear you here? And, when you got rejected from U of T, did you ROSI update and say that? Also, have there only been two sessions of acceptance to the 2yr-MSW @ UofT (March 13 & 24)? Does anyone know if there is usually more than two waves of acceptance? Thanks!
  13. I just came across this thread! This is amazing! I thought I may have been the only one obsessing over whether I will be accepted or rejecting in to an MSW. I am a fourth year (graduating student in a BA Honours Psychology degree. My top choice in UofT 2-year program and backup is Lakehead HBSW or Maine University BSW. Has anyone heard from Laurier or been waiting at either Laurier or U of T? Also, congratulations to all those who heard back from schools! It is such an exciting time! Applied: U of T, Laurier, Windsor, Maine University (BSW/MSW), Lakehead, St. Thomas Accepted: Maine BSW, Lakehead, Waitlisted: Rejected: Windsor, Maine MSW, Declined: St. Thomas Attending:
