  1. Wow, I am shocked that you were even wait-listed! It's crazy how competitive this program is.
  2. "SW15 I don't know anyone who was waitlisted, but odds are there have to be people who were. If they have 800+ applicants, accept 140, and put 70 on the waitlist... well, you do the math!"- Magfish where did you here this? When I have called U of T in the past they said that they can't disclose how many people are waitlisted. Honestly, most people I have talked to that applied to U of T have been waitlisted. I am starting to wonder if most people that apply to U of T are waitlisted? I haven't seen or heard of anyone on this forum that has been rejected from U of T... If that's the case, there is no hope getting off of the wait list!
  3. Hello! Anyone here waitlisted for Lakehead's 1 Year BSW program at Thunder Bay or Orillia campus? If so, have you heard anything re. the wait list? The wait list letter said that we would hear back from them by mid May.
  4. Hey! I have a question. As a plan B, would it be advantageous to take a one year Social Service Worker program? Or would it be just as advantageous to try and get more work/volunteer experience? They have an accelerated SSW program at Seneca college and it looks like they are still accepting applications? What do you guys think? Here is more information about Seneca's program: http://www.senecacollege.ca/fulltime/SSIA.html
  5. Hi there! I have been lurking this forum for quite a while now, and this is my first time posting. I haven't been accepted to any schools yet, and I am starting to get a little discouraged. I applied to UofT last year, and was wait listed, and I still haven't heard anything back. Does anyone know if it is it possible to be wait listed two years in a row? I also applied to Lakehead, and got rejected for Orillia's program, and waitlisted for Thunder Bay's program. I also got wait listed for York. I have yet to hear from Laurier. If I were to be rejected/wait listed for all of these programs, do you think it is worth re-applying next year? It's just a little discouraging after applying to so many programs. I know it is too soon to lose all hope! I still have yet to hear from Laurier and UofT, and a wait lists that could turn into acceptances. It just can all be a little discouraging at times. Please let me know if you have any insight!
