Have there been any (A)s that have gotten P for research? When I looked over the spreadsheet it looked like there were far more As who got bumped up for ETAs than for research. Also, is there any way to see if the other Ps have already accepted the grant? I'm treating my A as a hopeful no but I'm trying to figure out if I should drop that hopeful part...

Echoing SjJe2009...does anyone have any clue about the chances for alternates? I'm an alternate to Mozambique. In the email they said there wasn't any sort of list they maintained or anything you could really do to find out your chances, but I'm wondering if this group has any data from the past few years.

Selected as alternate...argh. Given the stats for Mozambique (so few people apply and fewer actually get selected) I don't know how hopeful/pessimistic to be. Does anyone know if it's possible to find out where on the wait list you are? Or what kind of chances you have of actually getting a grant? jrk2115: you project sounds awesome! What an awesome idea. My proposed project is qualitative research as well, looking at the relationship between HIV positive patients, clinicians and traditional healers and how to strengthen care from a patient's perspective.

Sorry Does this mean that SSA will found out today? I applied for a research grant to Mozambique...didn't even see it on the googledoc so I really have no idea if the notification will happen at the same time. Any thoughts?
