At the new student orientation today they confirmed that not everyone has been admitted to the program yet.  They're still sifting through applications.

Congrats! Was the 3 year your first choice?

I was just told my application is under review now and I'm about to shi* my pants. Lb is my first choice.

Yes, 3-year is my first choice. I currently work in the field and the 3-year program will allow me to keep working throughout. At least in the beginning.

Hi fellow MSW applicants,

I heard from CSULB and was accepted to the MSW 3-year program!!  I've included my timeline below in case anyone is wondering.  Hope it helps! 

 

Feb 16 – I submitted my application to department via walk-in

Mar 17 – Received an e-mail from the School of Social Work confirming they received my application
Apr 10 – Received an MSW 3-year program Admission Offer via e-mail

 

I was given 10 days to make a decision.  CSULB MSW is the only program I applied to, so I eagerly accepted the offer of admission the same day.  I attend New Student Orientation on May 9, and register for classes on May 11.  Congrats to everyone who has been accepted and good luck to those waiting to hear!
