Hi,
I'm an international student attending a US university, and applying to grad school this fall.
I was reading the posts here and realized that many competitive applicants have research experiences from different institutions, honors/awards etc. But personally, I have been only involved in the researches in my school (since off-campus researches, NSF REU programs etc. are mostly limited for international students). I was accepted as a summer fellow in a top institution (not my school) this summer, but visa problems got complicated and they confirmed me a position next summer, but that'd be after grad school application anyway...
I'm trying to make a list of schools that I'm going to apply, but I wasn't sure how only having worked at a single institution would affect my chances for different tiers of school. Anyone have any ideas?
