  1. So far in the result section, I only see one acceptance back in January and no rejections. Anybody have any news how the process is proceeding? Have second round acceptances been sent out? Rice is the only school I'm waiting on before making a decision, and, while their site says expect around end of March to beginning April, I just want to know if others are waiting on it as well or am I just waiting for the inevitable rejection.
  2. Is this true for Rice's Math Department or is this also for CAAM Program? Noticed one received the email... so bah nevermind.
  3. Got a call from UNC today saying they were interested in me and if their offer wouldn't be wasted. I'm currently elated. Currently 3 out of 3, though if that waiting list report is true for NW, I'm probably rejected, but I can live with that. So far UNC(funded), RPI(probably funded), and UW (unfunded) have all accepted. I'm pleasantly surprised. Any news on Rice, Brown or JHU? I see that Brown sent out their rejections early March 2009, so I'll probably know then.
  4. Inverse Problems. And if I may add my favorite quote... "Pure Math is but a sub field of Applied Math."
  5. Got into University of Washington's Applied Math for an M.S., though I had applied for Ph.D. About two weeks ago, I got into RPI's Mathematical Science for Ph.D. I'm just waiting to hear on Rice, seeing as the University of Washington, RPI, and Rice were the three main schools for my field of interest (Inverse Problems). Applied also to Brown and JHU, but don't expect to get in. Plus I probably fit in more at the previous three schools...
