Seems like a good time to remind everyone that if you've made your decisions (congrats!!!) then please reach out to those schools that you have been accepted to and will not be attending to let them know many of us are on waitlists and really appreciate it
Just in general, what are people's thoughts on calling/emailing and asking at this point if you haven't heard anything from a school? On the one hand, I obviously want to know... but on the other, whatever happens is still going to happen either way and I don't want to be rude... Unsure, but erring on the side of caution (for now).
I also applied to Delaware! Looks like from previous years that results are all over the board so it's hard to guess when we should expect news -- good or bad
Oof, is there anything more nerve wracking than seeing both acceptances and rejections being posted for a school while still not having heard anything yet? This is fun...
good luck to everyone!! it helps knowing there are at least others to commiserate with! it's hard to remember it's still early when so many have gotten acceptances and every day feels like an eternity.. but we'll make it!
Is it possible it wasn't a formal interview but one of those casual phone conversations with a POI? I wouldn't call it an interview/post it on the results page but I could see how someone could get that confused?
Has anyone here successfully petitioned another foreign language in place of the German language requirement in many programs when German is less relevant to their concentration? Currently looking to do a Renaissance/Baroque specialty, and know French, Italian, and Spanish in varying degrees of fluency, but no German... so are those programs automatically out for me?
What are the strengths of Emory's PhD program in art history? Specifically how the specialization of Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque Europe art fares as well as the Department of French and Italian in complementing the art history PhD.
