Concentration

I was told yesterday the admissions process is ongoing, but then a small squirt of people were admitted yesterday afternoon (well, really only one I know of, but it was purportedly a form email). So I don't know what to believe. We are on tenterhooks.

If it were true, I would hate to be a Duke IR rejectee. That would fund 2 more students.

So ND is done? Today was the second wave of acceptances. Hard to believe there will be another. Grim.

There is a thread at poliscijobrumors.com claiming (now refuted) that Duke offered an IR undergrad an $80,000 / year stipend. Good to know the discipline has not become college football yet.

Eh, I have an inside source that says Harvard's committee met last Friday to finalize decisions. Not saying the decision posted is valid, but even if it isn't, notifications should be pretty imminent.

Rumor is that Fowler is jumping ship too. Must be something in the ocean...*rim shot*
