So the program that I will be starting has a focus in Visual Cognition. I think that most of our experiments are programmed using E-Prime but I was wondering if anyone could recommend any other useful languages? Is R still considered useful or have statistical softwares pretty much made it outdated? Thanks

I've been wondering the same thing as Tangerine and i've pretty much decided that I will go ahead with the purchase. I'm wondering if any of the current ipad users would help me decide if the Mini's screen size would be sufficient or should I go with the Air? I pulled up a typical, double-columned, academic paper on both screens and figured that I would pretty much be having to zoom in to read those on either screen. I will use it to take notes with and maybe even do a little writing. I'm just not sure if the Mini is too small for the other functions. Any feedback would help. Thanks!
