I would say pursue Cal if you plan to remain in the Bay Area. You'll make good connections with potential employers and colleagues... USC is not worth the debt.

I have never heard of anyone NOT getting into USC's MSW program. I am a recent graduate of an online MSW program, and I will tell you that potential employers place little to no emphasis on where the degree came from. Accreditation and field/professional experience are the deciding factors. I have had no issues with landing interviews, and I accepted a job offer with the employer of my choice, one month before graduation. My advice, attend a cheaper program.

I'm curious about this program too. I'm interested in applying and have been in contact with someone in the department. She's very helpful answering all of my questions. I've never heard of this university and wasn't too sure about it. The website looked a bit strange to me, but it is accredited and seems reliable.
@OaklandsfutureLCSW What are your stats if you don't mind me asking? I'm curious to see how competitive they might be. I don't want to ask anyone about it and it there isn't information on the website.
My stats were good. I applied with a 3.7 GPA. I think that the average GPA for most MSW programs is a 2.5 to 3.0. The program is accredited, which is all that really matters with MSW programs.

I am a WNMU grad and I would not recommend the MSW program.
