I also had trouble communicating with UMT. When I applied to take a few of their postbacc classes, they didn't respond.  About a month later, I emailed again to ask if I was accepted yet.  I was told they didn't receive my application so I forwarded the email I had already sent and was told about 2 days later that I could enroll in classes.  So... it seems like the people running the program (or maybe their assistants) aren't very good at communication.   However, after taking 2 of these postbacc classes, I have noticed that the professors are on top of it.  They are great actually!  I wish I had taken more of my postbacc classes from UMT.  They really try to give you a well-rounded education, so that you not only know the material but how to apply it.  So, I think we shouldn't judge them based on how the people who aren't educators are doing.  They really need to fix their communication problems though.
I have also applied for their graduate program and have not heard back yet.

It's good to hear that the professors are with it!  That's what matters in the end.

I would have to respectfully disagree with you.  In the field of speech-language pathology, the most important aspect is accreditation by ASHA.  As long as the program is accredited by ASHA, and you can earn your CCC-SLP, it is completely legitimate.  My undergrad degree was completed on campus, and I am now working on my graduate degree via online (UW-Eau Claire), and can tell you first-hand that it is just as rigorous as my on-campus experience (different university).  You need to be completely self-motivated to complete readings, assignments, and find clinical placements.

I just finished a statistics class online through Passaic Community College (New Jersey). Credits are really cheap, even for non residents. I think it cost me $200 total. Very manageable class.

I've recently been accepted into CUNY Hunter. Does anyone have insight into the Hunter Program/their clinical placements? I only know it's a good program and nothing else, and don't know any Hunter alumni.

I'm very happy with my bio class online through USU.
I HATE my chem class through USU.
I took statistics at a community college online (USU offers it, but you need to take a placement exam and by the time I took care of that I got locked out of the class itself).

Don't volunteer to impress, volunteer to expand your interests and experiences. I'm a career changer and had no specific volunteer experience. If you have the time just do what you enjoy and what you'd like to learn.
