  1. Kentucky just e mailed me without any inquiry however I e mailed McGill and they told me where I stood in the process which was very helpful. I would e mail the graduate director at whatever departments you have applied to and ask where they are in their application process. You should get more information that way then online.
  2. On Friday I got an e mail from the University of Kentucky letting me know that I get accepted. No word on funding yet however they are hopeful they will be able to give me some as they get a better sense of what funding they will have free. Sounds like they are also finding new sources of funding. I also heard back from McGill and I am essentially wait listed as the professor I want to work with waiting to hear from those she has offered admission to. Overall I am fairly happy. Also to those that applied to Washington and didn't get in, I heard that they had an unheard of number of applicants this year and even fewer positions to offer.
  3. Congrats! Thats very exciting! I am wondering Tommy if you applied to the PhD program or MA? I applied to the MA and I am wondering if I didn't get a call this morning that it would then suggest I didn't get in. Again congrats!
  4. University of Leeds game me till July to respond. I think the UK does things much differently than the US. I don't know about Canada though... I am waiting on McGill.
  5. Applied: Washington University, McGill, Leeds, King's College, Kentucky

  6. I see that most people have applied to US programs. Has anyone applied to any outside the US? Particularly schools in the UK and Canada. I am anxiously waiting to hear back from McGill. Also I just got a rejection e mail from UW today. Tough since it is where I went for undergrad but it wasn't my top choice anyways.
