  1. Hello Guys! I would like to know about people who are applying for Graduate School in Europe, or even in other "Developed" Countries, who came from Developing Countries? I know that the educational standard is off balance. What might be a high caliber school in my country can be considered a low tier school in others -- though this does not necessarily mean that the education is terrible, it's just the standards. I'm hoping to get into scholarship programs abroad and have been working on such applications in the last few years. I have a rather low undergraduate GPA (2.9), from the second best school from my country. I have since gathered almost five years worth of experiences through internships, international volunteering experience, and full time employment in the field I am interested in, creating development programs here and there for the underprivileged in our society. During this time, I also pursued a Masters degree in the Top1 University, graduating with at GPA of 3.6 -- which is an incredible step up from my undergraduate GPA. I pursued this education while I was working at the same time. Anyway, I would just like to ask for any helpful advice for getting into scholarship programs in the western countries (mostly in Europe like Chevening, Erasmus, DAAD), for people coming from developing countries, given my academic and professional background.
  2. Hello all! I'm planning to take up further studies in Denmark, specifically at Roskilde, which is a stone throw away from Copenhagen. Education is mostly free but the cost of living is rather high. Has anyone here took up further studies in Denmark? I'm interested in the perspective of both Danish citizens as well as non-EU people who have been there. Were you able to take on a part-time job to support yourself? How is the education system, as compared to more popular locations like the US or the UK?
  3. Hello, I was wondering whether anyone has applied to the DAAD-EPOS Scholarship? I'm applying for the Development Management in Ruhr-University Bochum and have begun to collect my Letter of Recommendations and all other necessary documents. As for those who have successfully passed DAAD in previous years, any advice on how to get into the program? I'm rather concerned about the "employment" situation. I recently graduated from a Master program in my country but I feel I need a more internationally-recognized degree. Being a recent graduate, I do not presently have any employer that I could indicate in the applications. However, prior to this, I have more than four years of working experience in the development field. Do you think that being unemployed (although with previous extensive experience), would make less qualified from being granted a scholarship?
