  1. Released an offer about 3 weeks ago. Good luck!
  2. I highly recommend using Magoosh. I know a lot of other people would vouch for it as well. The site covers most of the GRE topics through online video lessons. It also has hundreds of practice questions and decent full-length practice tests. You can even review and filter questions by difficulty and topic. It is also relatively inexpensive compared to a tutor or a class. I think it's crucial to do as many realistic problems and realistic practice tests as possible. The best resources for these are: ETS PowerPrep software, which is free on the ETS website and offers 2 computer practice tests. Absolutely do these! "ETS Official GRE Verbal Reasoning Practice Questions" book for practice verbal questions made by the actual testmaker "ETS Official GRE Quantitative Reasoning Practice Questions" book for practice quantitative questions made by the actual testmaker If you need additional help on any one particular topic, Manhattan GRE has books for specific topics, such as Reading Comprehension, Geometry, etc. You can buy these books individually, and if you buy one, you get access to 6 free online practice tests. Buy older editions to save money. Also, Magoosh has free vocabulary flashcards available if you need help in that area. My goal was also 160 in both sections, and after two months of studying with the things I mentioned above I was able to beat my target. Hope this helps!
  3. Just wondering if there's any chance someone on here is considering releasing an offer from Michigan State? I'm on the waitlist
  4. Has everyone heard back from all their schools? I haven't gotten any updates from 3 programs that I applied to.
  5. Released an offer to DePaul, good luck to anyone on the waitlist!
  6. I got an email notifying me that I was rejected on 2/11
  7. Got an invitation for a phone interview.
  8. Wow 17! I'm applying to 12 (10 PhD, 2 Masters) and it already feels like a ton of work. Plus all the money for application fees, sending GRE scores, and transcripts is outrageous... Here's where I'm applying to: PhD Baruch CollegeUniversity of MarylandMichigan StateTexas A&MPenn StateTeachers CollegeGeorge MasonDePaulUniversity at AlbanyRiceMasters San Diego StateSan Francisco State
  9. How many programs is everyone planning on applying to?
  10. Is it still important to contact faculty for schools that do not follow a mentor model (where each faculty chooses a student to work with)? For example, I know at Michigan State admission decisions are made collectively by the program faculty.
  11. I think I'm mostly interested in selection/measurement and workplace discrimination, but I haven't had much experience with I/O research so I'm definitely open to a lot of topics. How about you?
  12. I'm starting the application process now! Just took the GRE earlier this month, glad to get it out of the way! Now I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly which schools to apply to, haha.
  13. Just took the GRE today! I alternated between Magoosh and Manhattan practice tests before doing the ETS Official Guide paper tests and PowerPrep tests. Magoosh 1: 155V / 158Q Magoosh 2: 159V / 161Q Magoosh 3: 163V / 161Q Manhattan 1: 160V / 163Q Manhattan 2: 162V / 160Q ETS Paper Test 1 from the official Guide: 166V / 165Q ETS Paper Test 2 from the official Guide: 165V / 165Q PowerPrep II 1: 169V / 166Q PowerPrep II 2: 167V / 163Q Real Test: 166V / 168Q The questions on the real test seemed slightly harder than the PowerPrep tests, but those practice test scores were the most accurate! Magoosh and Manhattan practice tests are definitely more challenging.
