I know there are a number of applicants out there who have similar areas of interest that are (presumably) making another go of it next year. If anyone is interested in creating an email group to keep up with and help each other out, let me know. Could use the help and camaraderie doing this again.

My only advice is apply to more schools than you think is necessary.

Long time lurker--first time poster! Very excited. Just out of a no-name city college, applying to a handful of MA and PHD programs this session. My writing sample is on the philosophy of history. Specifically, it attempts to synthesize the more recent Narrativist trend with a nomological probability scheme popularized by Hempel. Would love some feedback if that's anyone's bag.
