I really hope it is tonight. But on the other hand I am on my way up to DC for orientation for the NSF EAPSI fellowship, so I would rather not be in the presence of NSF when I get the news (good or bad). I will definitely be attempting to sleep through the night, but knowing me my body will keep me from sleeping soundly.
For Taiwan, Elena sent us an email with the official acceptance letter attached from MOST, which is the science governing body over there.
The email was sent on March 11th. But the acceptance letter was signed on March 8th.
Has anyone else besides @bhub received forms about making travel plans? I was in the first round of people that received a tentative acceptance e-mail. Wondering if I should send them an e-mail, or work on my patience?
So. I e-mailed them yesterday morning, to ask some questions about the stipend. And they responded pretty quickly to my questions (within the hour). I e-mailed them my acceptance yesterday afternoon, and didn't receive a response.
I feel like they are just waiting for the deadline to pass today, and then sending out a mass e-mail to us all as a whole. But hey, I could be completely wrong.
@GBinAZ
For me, my status on Fastlane still says 'pending' so the only way that I was notified was via the e-mail from Elena.
The e-mail went to my regular inbox, and was also listed as important due to the wording inside the e-mail.
Good luck!
No. But if you look at last year's thread. Japan was the first to hear back at the end of January, and the others follows through the beginning of March.
Dates of Tentative Offer from last year:
Japan - January 29th
Australia - February 10th
New Zealand - February 24th
China - February 26th
Singapore - February 27th
Korea - March 2nd
Taiwan - March 2nd
Just got my rejection for the E2 category with an overall score of very good. Good feedback for the NSF GRFP at least hahahah. Good luck to those still waiting.
