Granted permission to use funds for int'l travel but have not yet received award notification.

I was told that funds would begin being disbursed by late April and continue through early May until all Fellows had received their initial/official offer, at which time it would continue on a monthly basis. Just curious if this has actually happened for anyone yet. My paperwork has been completed since the initial offer was made and now I'm just trying to determine if I should try to take on a teaching assignment for the summer and just pay for research materials out-of-pocket and get reimbursed later or if I can rely on getting funding prior to summer semester/field season. Ultimately I just need to know where my rent/living expenses will be coming from beyond May 1st. Sigh...

Has anyone actually received anything yet? Award notifications? Cold, hard cash? Just curious if change in PO will affect reliability of timeline as presented on EPA website. Any news would be appreciated as the waiting game is quite tiring and I have fieldwork that requires some funding (or at least acknowledgement that I will be reimbursed in a timely manner)...

Offered award and still haven't received reviews. Probably come with official award notification...

Thanks @insane-in-the-membrain, but I'm not counting my chickens until the check clears. Mixed metaphors. And don't beat yourself up over it...success and failure, much like everything else in life, seems to be pretty cyclical--be on the lookout for inflection points and until then, just try to enjoy the ride.

Unfortunately no deadline was given, which could further delay things for everyone involved.

2015 STAR Fellows are anticipated to be selected and notified of their award recommendation by early February 2016 and receive grant funding by end of February 2016.

Nope. Sometimes I wonder if the application process was merely a group delusion...

The rejection letters will have 7 months of weight behind them, so they will be extra brutal upon delivery. I'm saddened by the prospect...

Please, if anyone can correct/enlighten me... I am under the assumption (based on my own paranoia/anxieties) that they have probably notified those applicants who have been awarded and are waiting to hear whether their first round of offers are being accepted or not before letting the rest of us know? Anyone have any insights into this? The fact that I'm posting this means that the answer is probably already in my inbox (jk...jk), but in all seriousness...anyone?
