I applied to just 3 programs, the only one I heard something from, it was to tell me that my app was completed and to expect a decision in 6 WEEKS! Ha! Way to get my hopes up when I saw the email. It's frustrating because all of them said not to contact them to inquire and THEY will contact me. This waiting is lame. One of the three I am waiting for UCLA. states that I most likely won't hear back until March/April. What total BS, since I've seen people post on the results page of their decisions or interviews from UCLA. I'm tired of waiting.

Looking at the results page every hour and every day is frustrating! I haven't heard a peep from any of the schools I applied to yet.

Here's the email I got informing me on how to get my own proctor. Sorry for the numerous posts. The test will give the committee a good idea of your problem solving ability, critical thinking skills, reporting and writing style and current events/historical facts knowledge. Please make sure to save your work frequently during the test. The Journalism School is not responsible for lost information on un-saved work. There are no sample tests online. The test will have short answer and open ended questions. You are not allowed to use spell/grammar check, the internet, paper, pencil, phones, any other devices or reference guides during the test. You are not allowed to have a copy of the test after your session. I got this email today, but like I said, I am not taking the test. Dear Marie, All applicants who are required to take the admission writing test should have received instructions by this time. If you applied to the M.S. program or to the M.A. program and requested to be considered for the M.S. but have not received details about completing the writing test, please contact us using this email address: admissionswritingtest@gmail.com. The deadline to submit the writing test is January 24th. If you have your test time scheduled with a proctor, you may disregard this message. Also, for those who need to find their own proctor, please have him or her register with us as early as possible (at least two days in advance), not when you sit down for the test, so that your proctor has adequate time to review our test instructions. Your proctor will receive the test and instructions within 24 hours after registration. Our normal operating hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for any questions or troubleshooting. They sent me an email on dec. 18, it stated: Dear Marie, We will soon be sending you information about the 2016 Journalism Writing Test. The test will need to be completed by January 31, 2016. I'm not going to take the test and have decided to let the application go.

I had one due wayyyy back on Nov. 1st and I submitted a few weeks before. The waiting is irritating and I've been checking the results page and have seen a few people who applied to the same university(UCLA), have already received decisions. However, I applied to the MFA screenwriting program, which seems to take longer than any other program at UCLA to make admission decisions. The others are due this month and February, I think one is rolling admissions, so that's one less long wait for me. With my luck, I'll probably get rejected from every one I applied to.

Hi everyone, I'm the person who created this thread, I had to make another account since my original account was linked to my Facebook account, which I deactivated. Anyway, another update on my situation. It's 3 weeks from my first grad application deadline and I have let my recommender, Dr. N, know this. She hasn't responded to my reminder emails nor has she he uploaded the letter. As I stated in my previous post, she told me she was going to write the letters. I asked her in the reminder email, if it's possible, that she could submit the letter a week before the November 1st deadline, since I have to send supplemental hard copies of the application through snail mail. I'm trying to remain calm and patient, but I am getting worried. My two other recommenders already uploaded all of their letters and they all work at the same college. Judging from the posts I've read in here, it seems it's always that third final recommender that takes his/her sweet time.
