Hi. I applied Virginia Tech Aerospace Engineering Phd program. A few weeks ago they requested me to fill Immigration Information Form (I20), however, the admission decision has not been made on my application yet. So, I asked them the funding information part, since I do not have any external funding, my financial situation does not allow me to cover tuition and living expenses if I cannot get assistantship offer. And they said that you have to fill the form with funding information in order to the department can finalize admission decisions for international applicants. I am confused, what does all that mean? Am I accepted without funding? Do you have any idea and suggestions.
