Planning on applying to med school, but I have a gap year. A professor I was doing research with said I should think about doing a 1 year masters program with him but would need to take the GRE. I didn't study at all for the GRE, and I have no idea where I stand in relation to other grad programs.

i have a 3.7 gpa in a hard sciences major at a large state research university.
Lots of undergrad research, one paper is about to be published. Did a conference. Have two more projects in the works. Etc.
where should I apply? could I get into an Ivy?
