BS in Chemistry, Mathematics minor - Graduating Spring 2016 Applying to PhD programs in physical chemistry with focus on nanomaterials GRE - Q 159, V 166, AW 5.0 Subject GRE - awaiting scores GPA - 4.0 Research - 3 & 1/2 years + 2 REUs (one at University of Connecticut, one at Texas A&M University) Presentations - 6 at my institution, 3 at other universities in my state, 4 at ACS regional meetings, 2 at the REU institutions, 1 at the National Science Foundation REU Symposium Member of - STEM Leadership Society, ACS Student Chapter (currently serving as chapter president), Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Pi Mu Epsilon Honor Society, local outreach group Volunteer - Relay for Life, Habitat for Humanity, my local Neighborhood Development Corporation, dozens of events on my campus and in my community Top Schools MIT Harvard Other Schools Texas A&M University of Washington University of Pennsylvania Pennsylvania State University I feel fairly confident about my chances for my other schools, but I'm not sure about my chances at MIT and Harvard. I'm just curious as to how my chances are overall, if I should add in any other safety schools, etc. Any help/feedback is appreciated!
