The official acceptance letter from Columbia's Biological Sciences mentions that I was named as a Dean's Fellow. Does you friend know what that is? Does it provide additional financial support? Thanks.

I am domestic and applied to the GGD program at Cornell, which is the sister program of BMCB. There are two interview weekends shared by both programs (and biophysics): 2/4-2/7 and 2/18-2/21. Based on their website, they won't review international applications until they finish interviewing all domestic applicants.

Same situation. I still asked for a night in a hotel. The only difference is I live in NYC so I am not driving but taking the subway...

I got an invite from Columbia Biological Sciences on 12/14... From the email it seems like they send out invites in two waves. The first wave will invite a small group of applicants who can choose between two interview dates, while the second wave will invite a larger group to their early March interview. There is hope!

I got that UCB email on Tuesday. Application submitted 11/23. I like that a lot as I know when to expect.

Yeah, I am set. I felt exhausted already applying to those 6 schools. Hopefully I will get some interviews. I don't want to apply again next year that's why I am thinking changing career. lol

Submitted a few days ago, still waiting for my last recommendation. I will change career path if I don't get accepted this year...
