  1. Nope not yet! But it's not for awhile so I'm just waiting it out for another week or so before I let myself worry about it (side note, I wish it was sooner)
  2. They called me first and then emailed me right after we finished talking. It was just a quick call, not a phone interview. This was not for the NIH joint program.
  3. I got a brown invite before Christmas if that helps....a couple others did as well according to the survey if I remember correctly hope this helps
  4. I have a leather tote that will fit a padfolio, water bottle, and change of shoes plus gloves, etc. My friend who has been interviewing at medical schools has the same type of thing. As long as you're not fiddling with it and it looks nice I'm sure you're fine.
  5. the Rutgers Neuroscience program deadline isn't even till Saturday ...not sure if this is different from the BSN deadline
  6. Huh. It worked for me...it took them a day or two though sorry to hear that
  7. I heard back over a month ago, it appears that they are sending out invites gradually as i have seen them come up here and there on the survey since then...at an online grad school fair they said they would be reviewing apps as early as mid Nov (before the deadline)
  8. Congrats! Was it an email from a POI or was it more of a form email?
  9. NYU people- are you all hearing from the Neural Science or Neuroscience and Physiology program?
  10. I am not in the program but I currently go to the school for undergrad. I can answer questions about the area and the campus, if your program is in New Brunswick/Piscataway
  11. Brandeis Neuro is sending out invites currently via email.
  12. For those who didn't hear from Brown Neuro last week, the invites are going out gradually.
  13. now you can breathe a little easier!
  14. They actually told me they can't make the rejections official till they officially accept people at the end of the process :-/
  15. I called them this morning and they said all the invites have gone out.
  16. i'm not even expecting half of my programs to send invites till january. it's still early.
  17. One might say it's... "neuroLIT"
  18. Someone was saying a few days ago that they know someone on the PiN adcom and that the committee hadn't even met yet when the invite to PiN was posted
  19. I got an interview at a place that asks for a year of calculus, when i only have AP calculus from high school and withdrew from calc 2 first semester freshman year. I replaced it with an A in stats which for neuro is arguably more important but hopefully this makes you feel a little better
  20. Sometimes they're just suggestions as well, i spoke with someone about it and at that particular school they were guidelines just so that people wouldn't think they could get in after doing an english major and taking no math or science in undergrad
  21. I applied to Neuro there, and i found the helpdesk in the actual application (like the thing where you fill in a form and they email you back later) to be very helpful...they could help with things like that more than the actual admissions office did
  22. THANK YOU for this, I almost crapped my pants when i saw that on there. I'm neuro as well and looking at the program in boston i think you're referring to. I emailed their admin a few weeks ago because i know if i get an invite there i'll have a conflict and she said basically what you just did so i was very surprised...
  23. My boyfriend is in his first year and I am currently applying. We are in different fields- we actually met in high school and are still together after spending undergrad apart. I am applying 90% to schools where we could either spend every single weekend together or live in between our schools and commute. If I could go to the same school as him I would, but they don't have a program in my field.
  24. UConn and UMass have started sending invites out but those are general umbrella programs where you pick your concentration later.
