I recently got an offer from Vanderbilt--the "you're a strong master's candidate but didn't make the PhD cut" standard. I am not sure how many others got a similar offer, and it looks as if the master's program is at least partially/mostly funded. My professors are supportive of this avenue, and I am considering it (I'll see where it goes). I am slightly unsure about it but it warrants further investigation. Anyone have thoughts/advice on this?

I totally feel you. I've had a couple of sleepless nights now and my finals are next week (which exacerbates things). It seems quant programs notify their applicants relatively early. So I am quite nervous/excited to find out the results! What is ETSU?
ETSU is East Tennessee State University. They have an experimental program there. It seems quant programs are few and far between. :/
I hope they do notify soon because I'm on pins and needles! I keep nitpicking everything in my application wondering if it's good enough.

Me me me!!
I applied to Vanderbilt, ETSU, UTK (Tennessee--Knoxville), and the University of Memphis. I specified either Quant or Experimental psych. I've submitted all my apps and the waiting is killing me! My letter writers all said they would write fabulous letters but that doesn't stop the nerves

School: Vanderbilt University
Area: Psychology (Quantitative Methods) Ph.D
Rationalization: Many qualified applicants
Comment: Got the "even though you didn't get accepted to the Phd program, you're a great Master's program applicant" email.
Coping tactics: Looking into the above, waiting on further info from other schools, and reevaluating everything.
