  1. I think it would be understandable to request papers from their lab, it might even be a nice way to show you're interested in their latest work. Or if you feel it would be awkward to ask for a copy directly from the POI you could always request the papers through your school's Interlibrary Loan system. Most papers are delivered electronically now, so you shouldn't have to wait long.
  2. For University of Washington Immunology I was offered the weekends of Feb 11-13 or Feb 18-20, hope that helps.
  3. Congratulations!! I'm applying to Cancer Bio there too and also got an invite today. I also got an email for an interview at University of Washington Immunology today. Very good day!
  4. I don't know if we were offered the same dates (Cancer Biology here) but yeah, I'm having the same problem I just got off the phone with Michigan saying they wanted me to visit Jan 28 or a backup weekend on Feb 4, when immediately Emory calls and asks if I can come down on Jan 28 and I said yes thinking I could go to the Feb 4 weekend at Michigan. Then I check the Michigan website and the Feb 4 weekend is crossed out! I'm hoping it's just because they want people to go to the primary interview weekend. Hopefully, they'll let me come on Feb 4 if I explain it's my only option. Otherwise I guess I'll have to look into an independent visit or Skype interview.
  5. Thank you for sharing the dates! The schools I've heard from so far want a definite answer on what dates I can visit by early next week and it's stressful not even knowing when some other program's visit dates are. I'm still holding out hope that I might hear from UCSF sometime today. Hope springs eternal!
  6. Thanks! Yeah, I guess I was just worried because I went to a liberal arts school and took a lot of non-science classes so my science GPA is lower, like a 3.2 Same dates and probably same program! Cell and Molecular Biology? Leaning towards attending the second weekend. Congratulations on the invite!
  7. I was starting to get really worried with the all latest talk in this thread about not having a high enough GPA (~3.5, lower for science) but just got my first interview invite from Duke this morning! What a relief!
