  1. You can call the grad secretary at OSU and she'll tell you. That's how I found out.
  2. Your question is a little arrogant, which I believe is typical of those who attend the University of Washtenaw County. In seriousness, a 3.9 from UM will always look better than a 3.9 from State (depending on difficulty of classes taken), but if you rest on your laurels while the State applicant busts his butt to do tons of research and get great LORs and a perfect writing sample, he would probably get in before you. Oh, and GRE/other test scores count too.
  3. What a bummer missing out on your top two schools. At least I know I'll have a home for the next six years.
  4. Who got rejected from his top two programs? This guy.

  5. Where on the website? Nevermind, I figured it out. "There are currently no messages in your Message Center." I guess that is as good as a rejection.
  6. I've been trolling around this forum and the results page for months but finally decided to post, as I just received some news. At the advice of one of my undergrad professors, I gave in and called the graduate secretaries at UNC and UVA. Both very nice ladies, the UNC person told me that they're "in the process" of admitting students, so perhaps all hope is not lost for those who haven't been admitted yet. The news comes from UVA, where I was informed that decisions have been made and notifications will be sent out very soon, "within a few days." Hopefully that means tomorrow because I really don't want to wait over the weekend to find out.
