  1. I really enjoyed the Princeton event - met with a remarkable number of professors with similar interests and active research projects, and I just accepted the offer of admission in the fall for American politics. My biggest concern right now is deciding whether the political economy subfield might be right for me - I had a positive discussion about it with a professor, but it would definitely come at the expense of some constitutional/public law related classes in which Princeton has a definite strength. For what its worth, I just turned down the Yale offer, so hopefully this frees up a spot for someone.
  2. Just turned down an offer at NYU-best of luck to all on the waitlist.
  3. Don't know how it happened, but after the carnage, I got my acceptance at Yale about 20 minutes ago. Funding information to come in the mail...I can't believe it. There's hope for those who haven't heard.
  4. Same. Just got an email from a Princeton Prof-the best birthday present I could imagine. I'm just shocked.
  5. Has Columbia even started admitting yet? I've been keeping an eye out and haven't seen anything on the results board yet
  6. Claiming one of the other late UCLA acceptances! I'm in similar funding limbo, but it still feels fantastic to get my first positive response.
  7. I'm still waiting to hear - been checking email and the graduate application page all day, but no notification either way.
  8. Many thanks for the support secretly_yes. If I remember correctly, you're currently working as an area analyst? I'm also at a desk job (researcher at a political committee) and the fact that we've slowed down significantly since November has made the waiting so much worse. No substantive workload to keep my mind off of decisions during the workday-only browser strategy games and blogs to stay occupied at my desk! Keeping my fingers crossed for both of us though.
  9. 0 for 3 now after Michigan. Getting my ass kicked and thinking I may have vastly overestimated my own abilities.
  10. This week has taken a monster toll. Work is pretty slow too, which means that I'm trying to keep myself from hitting refresh on the results page all day-was actually pretty optimistic about my chances until the first Stanford acceptances began rolling in last week. Playing tons of online Axis and Allies has been a great distraction though-I highly recommend it to everyone here.
  11. I just got mine as well. Was available for me on the apply yourself site when they were first being reported by others on the results search, and a notification email came just after five.
