Got the email from Alice Justice. Of course it went to spam folder and was actually sent like 2 hours ago lol. It's pretty much a polite form letter I think. It says we will receive letters and more formal communication soon and the visit date.

I think I'm going crazy waiting! Worst part is, the application notification season is just starting and my friends and family are already so sick of hearing me stress. If they think I'm bad now, wait till they see me in April!

Something similar happened to me with Wisconsin too! They couldn't match my GRE score because there was a dot after my middle initial on the application, but the whole thing spelt out in the gre report or something. Anyway, it languished in my spam for about a month before I noticed. Whoops.

I'm not sure why, but today feels more intense than yesterday

A while back I made a made a chart with the schools I applied to noting their first recorded date of acceptances in the past three seasons (2015, 2014, 2013). Of those it looks like we are in the ball park for these: Washington 21-Jan, 25-Jan, 18-Jan Princeton 26-Jan, 29-Jan, 1-Feb Berkeley 28-Jan, 31-Jan, 31-Jan Penn State 30-Jan, 1-Feb, 25-Jan Can't speak to anything else and it might be completely different this year, but it's a prediction right? The wait is driving me nuts! Note: There is an acceptance in the results forum for Washington already though.

Torchy's, Taco Deli and El Taquito are all on my short list for the visit Great to see so many new posters on this thread! Seems like it's about time for some good news on the results page, hopefully some good things for everyone today!

Thanks for the vote of confidence Seems like some of the notifications are a little bit slower this time too. At least, that's how it looks according to the crazy chart I made where I listed the first acceptance for every school I applied to (over the last 3 cycles!) and the results board. I'm just glad the academic semester has started back up again so I have a little less time to obsess! I know one of the schools I was accepted to told me they received 20-25% or so more applications than usual this time, which might help explain some of the delays too.

Haha I don't really know what everyone is talking about. I haven't gotten anything new! Just the three I had before: Austin, Minnesota, Ohio State. If that's interesting to anyone I am happy to elaborate Hopefully we all get some good news this week!

It seems like everything got really real really fast! I'm in office hours for the next three hours...time to check my email every four seconds.

I think it might also vary a little bit by program. One of my acceptances was a personal email from a professor first, followed by the official paperwork stuff later. She emailed on a weekend night and when I asked her about it she just said "That's when I got to it!" So maybe the program's own notification structure matters. Either way, I would be okay with everyone emailing tonight!

That belated Washington acceptance that just appeared brought on the nerves.

Note to anyone still hoping for a UT-Austin Acceptance: I thought I was out the running since I didn't hear last night, but I just got an email. Curse you Results Search for spurring me to eat two whole Ben and Jerry's things by myself last night.

@redhillgirl I'm mostly interested in quantitative modeling of violent crime data based on sociological factors, but recently I've started doing a little more with incarceration so who knows! It would be wonderful if Washington notified soon, even though they sent all those emails insisting they won't notify till February
