@mlev80 I have heard nothing!!! which is actually driving me a little nuts. If I am reject ( which at this point I assume I am) have the decency to at least tell me! Or at least respond to my dam email.

@bluebane congrats on Indiana!!!!!! That is such wonderful news!!! @mr.taco I am in the same wired boat when it comes to CMU. I have not gotten a official rejection and I also have not gotten a phone call. Super wired. Part of me dose not want to get my hopes up though. I also got the Yale and Brown rejection letters. With Yale I was heart broken with Brown I totally understood. Wrong school for me. On the Yale thing. I do know one of the director who got an offer. We did the Lincoln Center Directors Lab last summer together. They are 26/27 but I will say they have a killer killer resume. Major Fellowship and assistantships. Don't know if this makes anyone one feel better or worse. For me it was kinda nice to know one of the director who got in, they are not magical unicorns who are so much more talent. Just different stage in their career and different vision and aesthetic. good luck to all

@bluebane yeah their website was really freaking me out. But on my online application it says it most be submitted by the 2/17/16. ( either way I feel like they have to accept apps by the latest date they published). It can all be done online. Transcript are the only thing - I know need to be sent form your undergrad school directly to BU and in my case my undergrad is still only snail mail with that stuff.

@bluebane Yeah their timing is a bit of a mess- I totally hear that. But the deadline is tomorrow I am finishing up my application right now. Last round of spell check.

@bluebane did you already get you BU application sent out? and did you include photos?

@bluebane Happy birthday! I hope it was a wonderful day regardless of the grad school stress! and @UnrulyMop I am pretty sure Caden Manson said to expect radio silence until the very end of February. So I would say there is still hope there.

@voldy24601 If it didn't feel bad it was probably great! My interview with Brown was pretty rough and while that sucked it did clue me in that my other interviews actually went well. I think when its actually bad or you really are not on the same page as the people in the room you will know. Who did you interview with? and did they give you a date to hear back by?

ohh good luck with the travel - I went to Atticus Bookstore before my interview. Its right down the street from the Drama campus and they sever coffee and food. Have a great time with the interview- Yale is by far the most laid back interview I have had.

Shoot!! I just missed you I think you were right after me! I was the blond in the brown sweater. I went to the orientation yesterday so i could get home faster in case the MTA would shut down. How did it go?? And I forgot do you live in NYC?

Oh man I am so jealous of the Chicago meet up! I wish I could join you all. I just had my Yale interview with Liz today. She really was unbelievably kind and I was blown away by how specific her questions were- she clearly had read the application very carefully. Totally different vibe from CMU. Preparing now for Brown this Saturday. Thank you so much for the Brown interview information @nomoredeskjobplease its super helpful to know they give monologue adjustments and that the interviews are so short!

God I so get that. Thats how i felt when i thought i wasn't getting an interview- I can handle not getting in but I really want to be able to talk to her!! What day is everyones interview on? I am heading up to new haven on the 19th.

I think I met Yura at the Yale visitors day. ( did anyone else go to that?) He co - teachers a lot of the classes with Liz Diamond and he defiantly teaches the first year directing class on Chekhov. He seemed very nice albite a little quite and more reserved.

Hey @aprilcleveland I am sorry that happen with UCLA. I have not applied with or through URTA so I don't have any extra enfo there but that dose sound wired. And I am a lady director as well

Thank you for the run down of interview question @Bluebane. And congratulations @aprilcleveland and @directoral on your interviews! I just had my CMU interview on Saturday- ultimately I would say i enjoyed it. Some of the question I thought were fun like " what shows have you recently seen that inspired you" and "who are some directors that you admire". Though I will says I could tell I was the last interview of the day and that he was tired. Just got my audition date for brown so I need to start prepping a monologue. I am up in the air on whether to do an monologue that suites me type wise or to do something a little more out there that I am more interested in form a directing stand point - if that makes sense. Do any other schools make you do monologues? Also anyone else applying to BU? I am trying to figure out how many pages they want per essay. I didn't see anything on their webpage so I sent them a email but I just got an automated responds saying they would try to contact me soon.

@bluebane thank you for the heads up about CMU thats super helpful to know. They are the school I know least about so I am doing some major research before the interview. And happily I spoke to soon about Yale they called me this morning to schedule an interview- So looks like I will get to talk to Liz Diamond after all! And I second what SpiderFromMars said, I would love to hear what peoples past experiences were like with the interview process.

Stumbled upon this thread because my I have yet to hear from Yale anxiety was out of control. Reading everyones post was weirdly super helpful. Congrats to those of you who got the call! ( I am a little heart broken that it looks like I won't be getting an interview ( I really just wanted to talk to Liz Diamond). I have a CMU skype interview this Saturday. Is anyone else applying there? and anyone know more about their interviews? all the best and I am so glad this heard exists!
