I also haven't heard anytihng from UNC. But I think we should be focusing on the offers we already have, since I think the only thing we will hear after this point will be rejections (I would really love to be wrong about this).
My funding package says $XY,000 "before taxes." Should I be subtracting the income tax only (that varies from state to state), or is there any other tax I should take into account (like a federal tax maybe)?

I posted that status. I am not that hopeful though. I asked the coordinatior about the status of my test scores (that still appear as not received on the website) and was told that I am wait-listed. I am not sure what that means either. But, as far as the results page suggests, admisson off the wait-list is very uncommon.
I guess they are done with the first round of admissions, and will be sending new ones when some of the admitted students reject their offers. For that you may have to wait until more top schools start announcing admission results.
The same applies to me in the case of UC Irvine. It was a really really good fit. Fingers crossed.
