  1. Congratulations!!
  2. Do we know if any other countries have found out today?
  3. I'm not totally sure if it's listed as fully for all countries (and not sure if it is listed at all for ETA, or if so, where it is listed) but the Fulbright website shows how many study/research grants on these pages http://us.fulbrightonline.org/countries/selectedcountry/ireland I linked Ireland as the example (8 partnership awards and one open award), but you can go check other countries on that list as well. Hope that helps!
  4. I know what you mean! It makes me so excited for everyone but also even more anxious. I only hope we all hear (good news) soon!
  5. My understanding of the system is that once we made it through the first round (of US review) our applications were sent to review in-country, but that the notification email we'll receive for principal/alternate/non-select comes from the US Fulbright commission (or IEE/whatever the proper term is -- but within the US, on eastern time). Veterans on this thread feel free to clarify/correct if I got it wrong!!
  6. I'm hoping they send out a few more before the end of the day! I specifically applied to Ireland and I'm getting anxious that they'll be way later than usual this year because in the past they have had 4-5 awards and this year they have 9 so it is just more to to sort through/narrow down/decide on. Which country did you apply to?
  7. Well, I guess that's it for this week. Congrats (and unfortunately some condolences) to everyone who heard this week. To the rest of you, see you on Monday for the next round of nail-biting! Have a good weekend everyone!
  8. So the result for a Fulbright Specialist to Ireland came out today which I know probably has nothing to do with decision timeline for student programs but my brain can't seem to make my heart understand that so I'm even more on pins and needles now!! Gahhh
  9. Congratulations! That's awesome!
  10. Thanks for your well-wishes! Sending the same positive vibes back your way and to everyone still waiting to hear!!
  11. I feel your pain! (As I'm sure everyone still waiting does haha). I'm crossing my fingers (and toes) that a lot of people hear today. Clearly we can't expect things to follow last year given countries that have already broken the pattern, but I'm still irrationally hoping Ireland follows it because then the results should come out today! Gahh
  12. I think that is just someone who didn't update after Jan15 -- the whole spreadsheet said submitted between October and January!
  13. Again with the Fulbright Scholar thing -- Mexico is out for them, so maybe student is too! Anyone apply there (or to Sweden) who can confirm?
  14. Do we know if Fulbright Scholar decisions are released on the same day as Student ones (by country)? If so, Sweden finds/found out today!
  15. Well, that's a good way to look at it haha
  16. Congratulations!! Studying/Researching or teaching? If studying/researching, what's the topic?
  17. Also, do we know if anyone has heard today?
  18. You're asking the question that's in my mind too haha
  19. Congratulations!!
  20. Thank you!
  21. I am also curious if this happens for every country? I applied to Ireland and haven't heard anything. Anyone who may know (from previous cycles, etc.) please chime in!
  22. To join the chorus, congratulations! So exciting!
  23. I'm definitely feeling that way too (I'm sure we all are)! I wish that we knew a date with a little more certainty. Not that it would alleviate all the stress by any means, but it would help a little to not have an "any minute" mindset! How is everyone passing the time? (Other than compulsive refresh haha)
  24. Thanks for your insight and sharing of personal experience. I guess that my best plan of action is to wait a little longer and see if they will extend the date and if not, do what you did. Thanks again!
  25. Looking for advice -- the Fulbright Study/Research award that I applied for is contingent upon being accepted into the partnering university. I just received notice that I got into the university, but they have asked for a yes/no by March 7th (and although technically possible, I doubt Fulbright decisions will be out before that date). I emailed them asking for an extension since I wouldn't be able to attend the degree program without the funding, but haven't heard back. Does anyone have suggestions as to what I can do? Thank you in advance!
