  1. I think Michigan is roughly the same as Penn. But hey, there are other schools left! Fingers crossed! Also, it looks like Princeton has sent out interviews to someone. Anyone on this forum?
  2. @Carly Rae Jepsen I just thought I'd mention: I had my Pittsburgh interview. Thanks for the info earlier. The director of graduate studies was really kind. I'm not sure how I did, but I felt happy afterward! Looks like we'll hear in a couple weeks.
  3. I have my email open in a tab whenever I'm at my computer. By next week, I'll probably be refreshing it every half hour.
  4. I think it's highly dependent, but it's fairly common to be interviewed if you're a top candidate. Onsite interviews are a bit rarer, but they happen in certain cases.
  5. Seriously, great job, anonymous person! Anyone else heard from Michigan?
  6. @Carly Rae Jepsen Thanks for the info! And also...in terms of "Not sure why someone would submit their application so late...", that's me! I must still be in Senegal mode, because I'm turning all my stuff in at the deadline!
  7. Oh no! Hopefully they'll just think that your argument is brilliant and inaccessible, rather than nonsensical. There's always a chance. In addition to my harebrained capital 'S' in the Michigan application, I applied to Yale and left out the word "of". I'd be surprised if they haven't burned my application by this point. On a more serious note, I'd imagine that the typo tolerance of a school is directly correlated with the number of quality applications they receive in a given year. If it's a really tough choice, something as small as a typo may be the determining factor. If your application is otherwise incredible, and you're a really good fit for the program, they're probably more likely to ignore the typo.
  8. Just thought I'd chime in! I'm applying during this cycle, too. Good luck to everyone on Michigan! I'm feeling a bit hopeless about that one--found out I typed a random capital 'S' in the middle of my statement of purpose, and I somehow didn't catch it. :' ( @Carly Rae Jepsen I just got an interview request from Pittsburgh, too! It's one of my top choices. What was the interview like? So nervous!
  9. They announced today! Hope you made it!
  10. Oops, sorry! That sounds very strange out of context. Yes, Jermaine Jones is the program manager for the sub-Saharan Africa region for Fulbright.
  11. Semifinalist for Senegal here. I talked to Mr. Jones last week, and it looks like we might be a little ways off (he'd hoped to find out by this upcoming Friday, but you know how these things are). I'm hoping that it will be no later than April 18...!
  12. Where in Sub-Saharan Africa, gradschoolyaya12? And have you heard anything yet?
