  1. So sorry to hear about everyone's troubles with Carnegie Mellon!

On the good news end, I've been waitlisted at both DePaul and CalArts, but more excitingly, accepted a spot at University of Washington.

So glad to finally be done with my process!  And many many best wishes to all of you on yours!

  2. @Directorial  and @aprilcleveland  I heard from both CalArts and U Washington, interviewed with Washington in NY this week, they are apparently only interviewing ten people this year, then cutting six, and flying four out there at the end of the month.  Interviewing with CalArts in LA next week.  Tacked on a few days to make a tiny, and much needed vacation out of it.

But yes @Directorial, it will be great to see you in Chicago.  Curious how that all goes, can't believe it starts at 8am!  Nothing in theatre starts that early!  Where are you flying in from?

  3. Hi Guys!

Thought I'd stop lurking and join the conversation.  I've applied to Yale, Washington, CMU, DePaul, and CalArts and am considering adding a couple of the pedagogy programs to my list still. (I'm on the older end of candidates at this point.) Thus far no interview from Yale, did the CMU Skype interview which was terribly awkward (was their alternate 5 years ago - interviews were a mess even then, apparently not much has changed), and am a finalist at both DePaul and CalArts.  Visiting Chicago on the weekend of the 20th and debating where to do the CalArts interview because I have a show in New York that conflicts with their interviews here.  Also, just got an email from Washington that they are hoping to contact folks next week.  Has anyone done the CalArts interview before?  Is there any benefit to going out there vs. going to Chicago?

    Thanks and good luck all!
