  1. It's officially Februgatory now. I'm making it a thing, curtosy of The Interdisciplinarian. And herbal blends sound good. Do tell us if it works.
  2. Lol. Ignore him and thank goodness that you don't have potential food poisoning one day before a preliminary interview. Oh my god! I love that term! Februgatory, i don't think Dante could have described it better. Try tea! But not the lipton brand. See if you can get some black tea from an asian store. They have the best! It's so addicting! I'm with you in this. I submitted my application early, but due to some technical issue, no one started processing it until 5th Jan, so I think i've been put into the late batch (I hope so, at least) and I also only applied to one Grad school in the states. But a word of advice: DON'T EAT CHOCOLATE (long story)
  3. Hahahahahaha. I'm sorry for laughing. But it's so good to know I'm not the only one whose anxiety is manifesting in wierd ways. Boy, Freud would have a field day with us.
  4. Congratulations on everyone who got good news! Puppy Update: My puppies are passed out in the front yard because they spent the whole night randomly playing. The WHOLE night. And one of them is leaning against my leg and nibbling my foot in it's sleep.
  5. If anyone actually cares: do NOT eat chocolate. 1) I just ruined my diet 2) I over did it (even though I didn't eat that much, but it turns out my stomach can't handle it) and ended up vomiting this morning. YEAH? I repeat: DON'T DO IT!
  6. Hey @bioconfused, did you hear back from Vanderbilt yet?
  7. That's it, I need to go grocery shopping.
  8. Got it! Yeah! More reinforcement! I need as much as I can get seeing as this is probably the week that I will either have my heart broken by Vanderbilt or be freaking out about the up-coming interview.
  9. I'm going to consciously ignore the legitimacy of that statement and use it to reinforce my desire to have chocolate. But one question: what if my happiness level is zero? O.o
  10. Maybe I should eat chocolate... On a scale of 1-10, bow much would that help?
  11. Make sure it's dark chocolate. You'll get a better kick
  12. Glad to hear that things are finally looking good for you!
  13. Should I be worried if I'm hearing a clock ticking in my head now that it's Feb? That was a joke BTW, I'm not actually going crazy... *looks both ways and jumps under the blanket*

  15. *cringe* Saw that one. But thank you. It does help.
  16. It's so good to see such an amazing community. So, my story is that I was basically diagnoses with borderline sever depression (on D Burns' scale) a week after I had submitted my application. Let's just say that obsessively checking my e mail and the results survey isn't helping.
  17. Exactly! I thank the heavens that my dog gave birth at the beginning of January.
  18. Oh goodness piglet, I'm so sorry to hear about that. Here's a picture of a 2 week old puppy on a mountain of other puppies. I've realized that watching puppies helps.
  19. Not yet. I'm am international student waiting for a reply. It looks like they are taking pretty long this year.
