    And hearing from Brandeis and Vanderbilt would be awesome, too! Perhaps later in the week? I don't know!

    My predictions and spreadsheet have all been so totally WRONG so far! I can't help but laugh because trying to have control over this situation just isn't possible. The only thing I can do is patiently wait.

    My timeline predictions based on the last 3 years have been pretty off the mark as well. I guess the departments get around to it when they get around to it. Boulder is a lovely place, so hopefully they'll get around to it soon!

    I quickly scanned past years and it seems like 4-7 admits post per year (usually 4-5 I think). I'm thinking rejections will come start of next week. There's still hope I suppose, but I'm bracing myself for my first rejection (first news at all!). :/

    Yea, I'm thinking the same thing. Brown will be rejection #6 for me. I just want this season to be over with. 4 more rejections and I'm done.

    @Paul_SOC which programs in particular?

    I will add to the OP, anyone know any decent master's programs that offer funding for international students and have deadlines later than March? I realise that's a pipe dream, but I am staring to pathologise my application since people with profiles that seem similar to mine seem to have offers raining from the sky.

    I agree with you. I wonder what kind of "kiss of death" might have been lurking in my apps. And specific program recommendations would be very helpful! :)

     be more than one day though! They're still rolling out Davis acceptances, for example, when in years past, they've sent them out all at once. So even if Berkeley sent acceptances all at once last year, it might be different this year! Don't give up hope! :-)

    And yes, congratulations to the Berkeley admits so far!

    Congratulations goofy and @spicytunaroll!!

    @goofylemon It seems as if you're doing rather well so far! Although I didn't realize that Yale did interviews...

    oops didn't mean to quote that...

    To be honest I've given up hope (99.99% of it anyway) for my apps and Berkeley was a fantasy reach anyway. I'm thinking positive thoughts for the rest of y'all though. :)

    Themes of Soc forum grad cafe users: usernames are delicious foods, user pics are of intimidating-looking kitties and goofy pups!

    BTW, spicy tuna rolls are the best! My favorite sushi

    Grats to the acceptances today! I haven't been obsessing over hearing from schools quite as much after the rejection-fest I got during the last two days of last week... plus my grandma died yesterday. Suxor.

    And did someone say pictures of goofy pups? Where???  ;)

  7. Since my Ph.D. Application season this year isn't going so well thus far, I'm looking into Masters programs in Sociology, preferably those with at least partial funding. Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations of these types of programs that I might be able to apply to?
