hi friends, i just got notice about the villanova theology/philosophy assistantship. accepted!!!! i'm going to take some time out later to cry. but now, i have to call my mom.

we are indeed at the mercy of the changing tides, but, as you said, at least the tides seem to be in agreement this year. hopefully that does mean that good news will be spread around a little more generously. this is all i got: "the process has not been finalized yet." my guess is that we will hear back this week. last year people heard back this past week.

hi all, for anyone waiting to hear back from stony brook, know that decisions have not yet been finalized. there have been conflicting reports (from different admins), so i asked the DGS instead. hope that's a relief for anyone else still waiting to hear back from them!
