Thanks for the reply! Did the research assistantship cover the tuition cost? If it does and they get some form of stipend, that is manageable I think.

I have been accepted into the MSc program in Applied Math in University of Washington. I have been told that MSc students are not financially supported by the department but they claim that you can find funding opportunities in the form of TA's, RA's, tutoring and grading positions. Has anyone experienced this situation? Can you cover living expenses + tuition costs using these positions if you cannot afford to spend any money from your own pocket?

I got accepted by UC Boulder and I got an interview from Berkeley. The waiting is going to be unbearable. Haha.
