I have been nominated for fellowships at UC Davis and NC State. Just got word back from NC State that I received a fellowship on top of my Teaching Assistantship offer. I'm very excited!

I'm struggling. That said, the most useful tools I've found are:
    1. Habitica - Lets you gamify your obligations -- makes checking things off really satisfying!
    2. StayFocusd Chrome Addon - Lets you block certain websites during certain times on certain days. Keeps me off reddit -- I should really add thegradcafe to it as well
    3. Daily mantra of: "I'm significantly happier on days that I'm productive. It's irrational to be unproductive because it's only going to make me suffer."
Good Luck! I'll be checking back for tips from others

can we please stick to topic people: the utter misery of this process and complete lack of control over it, though it may determine the rest of our lives?

I'm sure people keep saying this and you're probably tired of hearing it, but it's not over until it's over-- even without Brown, something could pan out at the other three schools. That being said, I think I get where you're coming from. It's incredibly frustrating to be in this limbo (can we just call it hell?) that keeps feeling less hopeful. Anyway, I'm rooting for you, but yeah-- this is brutal.
I've been trying to do whatever I can to take my mind off it-- with very limited success. Do something to take care of yourself today if you can.

If any of the other Wisconsin admits are interested: I semi-interrogated Charlotte about the potential funding today! Feel free to pm me if you want to know more

All my fellow Harvard applicants, I think the chance of us getting into Harvard has gone from slim to almost non-existent. To save myself the anxiety, I am already counting Harvard, along with Indiana, as rejections. Good luck to us all on the remainder of our schools!

Base on your signature, I'm assuming you can't apply to all the schools you want to because of financial reasons. I'm really sorry that it turned out that way. I hope everything is ok. And I wish you the best of luck on the schools that you are applying to.

@Shamon and other UW Madison folks: I sent a quick email to the Graduate Admissions Coordinator (Ms. Justice) asking about funding information.  She confirmed that funding information will be sent out with the physical letters. She also indicated that physical letters should be expected by the end of next week, but will likely arrive before then.
Seems like a slow day otherwise. Hope ya'll are keeping a firm grip on your sanity!

You have $50k in tuition and $17k (maybe) in federal aid. How are you planning on paying the $33k difference, before you even start worrying about living expenses? Does attending actually make financial sense?

I know it's hard to stay calm, but don't sweat it!!! Even if the worst happens, and you don't get into any of them, you might even think about the rejections as an opportunity—you get a whole year to narrow/strengthen your interests, and to improve your applications with all the knowledge you've gained from this cycle.
I was roundly rejected last year, and this year I'm getting into my dream schools. Just be patient and confident that this is what you want with your career, and I have no doubt that you'll make it happen

Congratulations to the admits! I hope all of us have received some positive news. And for those still waiting, don't lose hope until March passes.
UW-Madison folks, did you guys get any info about funding? Someone on the results board indicated that they got an RA position. And do you guys have any suggestions about reaching out to professors at this point?

I think it's pretty early to assume rejection.  Most of the schools I applied to state that they make the bulk of their decisions in February (March in the case of Harvard).
Berkeley's FAQ has the following entry:
         When are decisions made?
Usually by the middle of February.
I'd say it's premature to worry in advance of their posted dates.
Regarding the crushing anxiety (which I absolutely share!), I've found guided meditations on youtube to be very helpful.
