Did u hear anything from Nyu?
Yes, I heard back from NYU regarding the interview time slots matching.
However, I am not sure when will they make the final decision (It seems there will be around 1 month between the interview and final decision)

Hello, should I take a Research Assistantship, OR a Teaching Assistantship OR teach a whole course during my first year as a PhD student ? I am going to have course work during the first year. Would that be too much to handle while having coursework?
Congrats again !!! Ya, i got the similar questions as yours. As I head from other PhD students, they suggested me that I should take courses only because how we interact with the first two year courses significantly matters whether we can pass comprehensive exams (or qualifying exams). If we have extra energy and time, we can do RA, but not TA because TA are time-and energy consuming than RA. Of course, that situation may differ from school to school. Thank you for your first shot to open this discussion in 2019~ I really appreciate that.

Hello all,
Based on the application results I have checked, it seems some schools send their interview emails to applicants.
Does anyone receive any interview invitation?

Thank you, Noegenesis & briefinterviews !
Your positive feedback is really helpful for people like me in the waiting game.
PS: The school I am applying to includes: Uni of Minnesota, Michigan State U, CUNY, & NYU
(Which school did you apply for? Thx u so much)

I am applying to clinical psych phds and added one phd sw as a backup since my masters in social work. The school is stating that the statement should be up to 12 pages. My psych statements were 2 pages so Im freaking out. 12 pges?? I think mine will be around 5. I hope to submit it tom. How many pages were your statements? It seesm lie they do want a lot of personal info as opposed to the psych statements.
The longest SOP I wrote is around 7 pages. But most of my SOPs are set as less than 5 pages (in "double space" condition)

I finished both of my applications last month. UCLA was also originally on my list, but I decided not to apply. Now we play the waiting game.
I am on the waiting game too. Frankly speaking, I am very nervous because I heard many of other applicants have at least 2 publications or 1 first-author publication..... Also, my GRE is not strong enough...

I think they have announced the acceptances; perhaps, they need more time to compose the waitlisted.
If it were true, another waiting game would start and we have to wait it for long long time.....
Did you apply for other programs in addition to Umich, WUSTL, and BC?

Columbia University just replied my email inquiring the time of decision announcement. They will send out the decision by early March.
By the way, has anyone heard anything from Umich recently?
Hello~
I asked Umich yesterday and they replied "the decisions are being recently made and will be announced soon..."
Frankly speaking, Im not sure whether Umich really needs more time to make decisions or just....you know....(is it possible they already had the final decisions but still express the decisions are on the process?) ya, I'm anxious...

Not sure...Their official website says everyone should know their results before March 1st.
Thanks for your reply....Can I ask did you receive email or did you heard someone receive email from UM recently?
The waiting is really like the torture....

They don't do interviews. I got my MSW from CSSW. But you are more than welcome to call admissions and ask as well. @royerful0
Thank you so much~ Frankly speaking, the process of waiting for the application results is like the torture......I really aspire to know when the results of CSSW application will be clear~

Hello everyone !
As an international student with MSW degree (obtaining it in the US), I am curious about whether it is normal that there is no notification of interview from CSSW so far......
Is there anyone knowing that information? Thx a lot~
