same thing here. I've already done the small town college thing. not going down that road again. i need something different this time around, especially if i want to grow as a writer.
no waitlist for poetry? any idea why that would be? perhaps there weren't many spots to begin with? hmm. I didn't even consider applying for the longest time because of the trouble it took (sending out a paper manuscript when I was living in Europe for the time being) the application fee, and the small possibility of acceptance. But I'm happy for those who did get in! #1 program!
HEY IF YOU GOT ACCEPTED TO U OF ARIZONA POETRY & ARENT GOING PLEASE TELL THEM. I've been waitlisted and I wanna go so badly.
Congrats to all on all acceptances
Hi everyone, I've been staring at my phone and email for days at a time. Someone please say something that will make me feel less anxious. Please and thank you.
I got into Temple too. It's not a big program...hopefully the funding is abundant (though I've heard otherwise). I've been told it's a very artistic city. One of my favorite poets, CA Conrad, lives there so I'm totally in if they show me the $$$$$.
I'm not losing hope yet! Ugh, I don't even know if I am willing to put myself through this stress again next year. Plus I'll need to spend another $1,000+ dollars on fees. What do you guys think---settle for a backup school or wait it out for a year and apply again to your dream school? It's a tough one.
Just got official word that University of Arizona Tucson has not made decisions on poetry yet--if that matters to anyone.
And yeah, I've been seeing some Iowa's and UMASS Amherst's popping up and it's making me insane
