Anyone offered an M.A acceptance to Columbia?

I claim the recent Vandy acceptance. Wasn't interviewed or anything like that before (maybe cuz I'm an international student), just received an e-mail from the DGS asking me if I'm still interested in the program. I was told they would be recommending me for the admission to the Dean if I'm still interested. I will probably decline their offer within a day or so. Thanks!

Am I the only one not to have heard from UCLA?

I am also a UW-Madison admit, and I was contacted by one of the faculty members two days ago. As the faculty who contacted me was one of the POIs that I named in my SOP, I think the department (maybe the DGS?) matches prospective students with faculties of similar research areas, and then the matched faculty contacts the admitted applicant individually. Thus, I wouldn't take the current situation as a 'lack of desirability' or anything of that sort just yet. Your assigned professor may just have been busy or lazy.

So at least we can say we stiill have the slightest glimpse of hope remaining which is better than nothing. Thanks for sharing the information.

Anyone claiming the princeton acceptance?

I have actually been accepted to three of the public schools that you have also been accepted. Perhaps you have been offered a better funding package than I have, thus a better candidate!

I have received funding offers from 4-5 public (state) schools this year, and all of them provided stipend between the $15-$18k for 9 month range on some kind of TA, RA work. They are all located in areas that have low-reasonable COL. Is this the general standard for state schools? I have one offer from private school and I know couple of people who have offers from top-privates (including ivys) and their general range was $25k-$30 and they were also mostly guaranteed of 3-4 summer support. Also, they could live on fellowship for couple of years doing no assistance work. Even considering top privates are located in more expensive areas, there does seem to be quite a bit of discrepancy in financial funding offers among publics and privates, am I right?

Has everyone heard from Duke? I have yet to get any notification from Duke and my status at applyyourself still shows up as "submitted". I wonder if there are other applicants who are in a similar situation....

Hey guys! Do you think it would be safe to say that Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Penn, Columbia, and Chicago have sent all of their admission letters to those who are accepted by now? I know some programs send out acceptances in couple of different waves, but considering the relatively small cohorts size of these departments it would be wise to consider myself rejected as I have yet to hear from them, right? Sad.....
