Hi!
Will a master's degree from FSU's stats department put me on my way to getting a PhD in complex systems or neuroscience imaging?
They've accepted me and offered a practically 100% tuition waiver. However, when I applied for the program what I thought I wanted was a "data science" degree. I realize now that my interests are actually in research, namely, complex systems or neuroscience imaging (probably complex systems), which I understand have similar computer science and mathematical foundations. So instead of accepting the offer, I could take some more undergrad courses in comp sci/math and then apply to a MS or PhD in a field more similar to my interests.
Am I wrong to discount the value of this opportunity in furthering my goals?
Thanks!
Mr. T.
