IU. Only program that would admit me, but a good fit and a nice change of scene from SoCal.
Congrats to you! That's great!

I got rejected by Brandeis today, which wasn't too surprising given how long it's taken to hear from them. I still have one more school to visit (U Minn) before I make my decision. There's still a lot to think about!
I'm sorry to hear that; that really is a considerable delay. Hopefully the decision comes easy though!

Congratulations! Did you attend the open house there last month? If not, and you have questions, feel free to PM me (I was there).
Any good news on where you are attending? I remember you had quite the impressive list!

My academia.edu and another place where my undergrad thesis is posted got hits on Sunday, so hopefully there's still a chance. My masters dissertation has also been added to the Royal Engineers Museum at Gillingham's archive, and I'm trying to decide if that's news enough to contact programs where I am or might be on the fence. It's not a publication though, so I'm willing to bet any DGS would see it as just an excuse to bother him or her.
I've got my fingers crossed for you!

For the person asking about OSU on the results board, I'm waiting to hear back anything from Ohio State, Penn State, and Georgia Tech's History and Sociology of Technology and Science programs. I've got my fingers crossed, but in not expecting anything but a little closure, hopefully, but not likely, this week.
I saw someone declined UNC, hopefully you hear some good news soon!

Hope this benefits you @archersline.
You are too kind! It will make someone's day and that's good enough for me.

Committed to UChicago. It was a tough choice for a few reasons (great programs/advisors at each school that accepted me, similar/competitive funding offers (one was better than that offered at Chicago, as they guaranteed six years vs. five), diverse and intellectually stimulating environments), but I felt a more immediate connection with the faculty and current students at Chicago. Also, Chicago was the most ideal living situation of my choices.
Congrats on Chicago! Best of luck to you!

Congrats to the Purdue admit off of the waitlist!! Awesome news!

Thank you! Are you working on a decision yourself?
Yes, I have two offers I am considering (and I'm waitlisted at UVA). Fun times!

I still haven't officially accepted, but I'm like 95% sure that I'm going to; two other places are still in the running (splitting the 5%), but Penn was not one.
Oh gotcha! An offer from Penn is impressive all the same! Congrats!

I just declined Penn, although oh how beautiful their stipend was compared to where I am going! I mean, my place's stipend is still fine, but Penn's vs. their COL was much better.
What offer did you accept?

Declined UNC-Chapel Hill. So many great things about the program. That funding, though...
If you don't mind me asking what did they offer?
-
Declined the University of Houston.

Yeah, I will email the author. I was just afraid that it might not be proper academic etiquette.
I would be flattered if someone was willing to go to those links to obtain my diss.

Have you tried through Inter-Library Loan?
-
Not to mention, is there any area in the U.S. you would prefer to live? If you're not beholden to the upper echelon of schools you can likely find a great fit near you.

Illinois: "I'm sorry for the impersonality of this e-mail..."
At least it was better than a "check the website automated message," I'm looking at you Pittsburgh.
Whoever thought that was a good choice was sorely mistaken...

I'm right there with you.. at this point it's just a little bit rude.
In that boat as well with another school. I understand that a DGS is busy this time of year, but it is unprofessional to ignore emails.

What field are you in? I'm Early Modern Global with a joint in Women's Studies and I interviewed in mid-February and got a call from my POI announcing my acceptance a week later. I visited last Monday and officially accepted my offer yesterday morning. =) just to give you a bit of a time line.
Good luck to you! I hope you hear soon.
Congrats to you! That is awesome!

I have declined Rutgers' offer. For those of you waitlisted, I hope you hear good news soon.
Where will you be going this Fall?
