  1. Thank you so much! Did not know this information was out there. I appreciate it.
  2. Does anyone know how many students are in each class in MPA and MGPS? I cannot find that info online.
  3. Are you attending LBJ? Is there anyone on this board that is 100% set on attending? Would love to reach out and talk. I am looking at the curriculum right now and getting super excited.
  4. Hey everyone! Decided to apply to LBJ before the April 15th deadline and got admitted this week! Super duper excited although funding information still to come. Did LBJ already have its admit day? I saw somewhere that a visitor was unimpressed with their diversity but that's all I've heard. Also, I know it's 4 months away but since I'm out of state, would love to start looking for roommates and things like that. Anyone aware if a facebook group has been made yet? SO excited that we will be future classmates!
  5. Thank you so much for contacting them! This makes my decision a lot easier
  6. Wow isn't that a lot of faith in the government to hinge on? For all we know, Ted Cruz could be elected to office and change the rules. And then we are all screwed.
  7. I got barely anything ($8000 per year) but hoping they will up the offer once people start declining, etc. If not, I will get more work experience, try to perfect my GRE score and apply again.
  8. Man, totally regretting not applying to LBJ now. It sounds like such a great program and Austin seems like a hip and happenin' city. I'm going to apply next year (assuming I end up working one more year and rejecting my offer from SAIS). Would anyone mind private messaging their email address to me so I can keep in touch with those of you who end up going to LBJ? Thanks!
  9. When did you apply? It's definitely a newer program but seems like a good fit for me. I was contacted by a student and I replied back to her email and then she never emailed me back. That was a little bit off-putting.
  10. I'm going to try this Monday! I might phrase it like "I know graduate school is an investment but at this point in my life, I do not feel comfortable taking about xxx in loans. Are there any opportunities for additional funding in the future? If not, I am going to work for a few more years and reapply. Thank you." Or some version of this after I think about it for more than 1 minute. I can't really ask anyone to match funding bc I didn't get much from anywhere Sad life.
  11. You don't sound prick-ish at all After I got the acceptance, I was already starting to day dream about life in DC, haha. Not to sound dramatic. And then the fellowship letter happened:P Does anyone know from last year is people got offered additional funds later on? I know SIPA, what you see is what you get but what about SAIS?
  12. ah man, this sucks. I am in the same boat as you guys. Honestly, the sticker prices on these programs are SO ridiculous. Unless I get a substantial fellowship from somewhere, I am going to take an extra year and apply to cheaper state schools for next year. I don't think the SAIS name is worth the loans (especially since my goals are to be an FSO). I almost wish I'd been rejected. It would be a lot easier that way.
  13. wow. What a hot mess. Sorry that you have to go through this but sending vibes your way that you got a full fellowship
  14. Did you check the ISIS account? (what a terrible name)
  15. That's awesome, but gosh what a terrible email I hope you find out soon. You should go to this website and see if your aid is listed there: http://www.sais-jhu.edu/sites/default/files/ISIS-Self-Service-and-PowerFAIDS-Net-Partner-Instructions-v1.pdf
