Yup, there's a bunch of them now But still no claims...
-
Yeah, @Bibica, it's going to be a long wait. But sadly not inconsistent with Harvard's MO in previous cycles... Anyone claiming Yale? Hoping it's trollwork.
-
Ummm...anyone claiming the Yale entries?
-
It's impossible to be certain about this stuff, but I would say it's pretty solid intel. As far as I can tell, every legit-looking post on the results page so far is for the HKS program (even the one mistakenly labeled as GSAS). I'd say the two "political science" rejections are trolls.

Morning GC! A few updates / thoughts that might be helpful: 1. Harvard: My sources () tell me that we can expect to hear back during the last two days of February. Anything before then is likely trolls / not the Gov Dept. 2. Stanford: A department administrator has now been in touch regarding $$ and visiting days, so I think that it's safe to say now that all the offers are out. 3. MIT: Congrats @zapatos! I hope some offers will continue to trickle out today... And while I'm taking up space: any intel on Yale would be much appreciated!

For some reason the results board is not letting me post, but... Claiming a Cornell acceptance!
-
@nate3869 @dih2 Harvard rejections are fake.
-
Anyone claiming the Cornell acceptance?
-
Maybe Cornell? If I remember correctly last year they released their decisions right around this time. But then again, this whole cycle has been a little crazy.
-
It seems like Stanford's notification process is quite decentralized, in the sense that all communication is coming from POIs. So I agree that there is a good chance that some admits won't hear until tomorrow, or possibly even the weekend. @Bibica, I'm going to try to attend all the visits. Maybe I'll see you at Princeton?
-
Thanks @Bibica! I'm a Latin Americanist too. I liked Stanford because my interests are very similar to BM's, and there is also a small but amazing group of non-Latin Americanists at Stanford who share my more general substantive interests. But I would definitely say that the overall fit at Stanford wasn't quite as good as it was at other places—I'm very (happily) surprised by this one!

Claiming a Stanford admit! E-mail from POI came about 2 hours ago. I am currently outside the US, so no phone call.
-
Same here regarding Columbia.
-
Congrats @RevTheory1126!!
-
Definitely, based on last cycle. And it's still early in CA. Any insider info?
-
Sigh. I sure hope Columbia doesn't keep those of us with rejections waiting too.
-
I hope so! Are you estimating based on previous cycles? Or do you have insider info?
-
Why not attend one official visit and plan an individual visit for the second place? Arguably, visiting outside the official visit days might give you better information anyways, as (a) you get to see the department going through business as usual and (b) you don't need to compete with a bunch of other prospective students for the attention of POIs, etc. I'm certain that most places would be more than happy to help you set something up!

Looks like this is a good prediction based on previous cycles! I'm having a hard time making sense of the UVA entries in the results database. Why are there so many waitlist-related posts and so few regular acceptance / rejection ones for 2016? Looks like in 2015 the first wave of decisions came a little bit later in the month? On a separate note, just got my official Berkeley rejection. Great way to end the week.
-
Let's get a list of predictions going? Possible schools sending out decisions next week: Columbia Duke MIT Notre Dame Penn State Stanford UMN UNC Any disagreements? Who else are we waiting for?
-
My prediction is that we will hear from both next week, probably around Thursday / Friday. That being said, a small part of my is still hoping that we'll hear from Stanford today. It's still early afternoon in CA! And after the Princeton surprise, it feels like anything is possible.

Thank you! I'm really not sure. Maybe someone else knows UChicago's MO better than I do. But for what it's worth, two things: We've been asked to RSVP for the visiting day (March 31) by March 10. According to the results board, it seems like last cycle acceptances did mostly come on a single day (Feb 3) but some people did not receive rejections until early March... I wish you the best of luck!
-
Good news: Claiming one of the UChicago acceptances! Bad news: List of Berkeley acceptances has been circulated internally. For those of us who hadn't heard, it is truly over. At least that knowledge gives me some peace of mind. Hope it does the same to anyone who was still waiting for come certainty. Congrats to everyone on their acceptances so far!
