Thanks for the info! That makes sense when I was checking out the old awardee list. Acknowledging that the people who receive this award are getting into top schools anyways and many are engineering students, I noticed a higher than expected number of people saying their going to Berkeley, Stanford, MIT etc. I suspect incoming students who have to make an educated guess put their top choice school even if they don't go there, which will skew the public awardee list.

I'm super happy to say I got the fellowship! One thing--I listed a school that I'm not going to attend. I would like to update my info with the school that I have actually committed to, but 1. does it matter and 2. how do I do it? I'm sure the answer is somewhere on the NSF website or letters/forms they give you, but I thought I could try to quickly post something here so that I can go back to doing more lab work.
