Hi all,
I'm also applying to EEB PhD programs. My experience is if you haven't heard by early February, you're probably not going to get good news. Most competitive departments invite for interviews during February/ early March and admit students by early March. Rejection letters often take longer to show up, usually around the end of March or sometime in April. My advice is that if there is still a department you haven't heard from and you think you may be waitlisted, get in touch with the professor you have spoken to there and see if there is still reason to hope. Best of luck to you all, and remember, if it doesn't work out this year, there's always next year. . . ( I actually applied last year, to too few schools, but am in at a few places this year, so another round has been entirely worth it for me).
