Thoughts on the Social-Organizational psych program at Teacher's College, Columbia University?
-
Would anyone be so kind as to read my statement of purpose and provide me with feedback? Much appreciated.

Do programs take the highest GRE score in each section if you've taken the test multiple times?
-
Absolutely, thanks for your input!

Was the position in the US or international? Also did she have a difficult time finding a position with the international degree?

Any thoughts on the Masters programs at * University of New Haven * Hofstra University * SUNY Albany * London School of Economics *Manchester Business School

Thanks, I'm applying to Masters programs. I am taking the GRE in two weeks so I hope the third time is the charm.

I recently graduated with a B.A. in psychology and was able to complete a fair number of graduate courses during my time at my undergraduate institution. I have had several HR internships and am in fact at the end of my assignment for my current HR internship. I'm currently interviewing for full time positions and have a few leads (entry level HR positions). The only research experience I have was conducting my senior thesis this past year. As for the GRE, I took it last year and received a 154V 152Q. I retook it about 2 days ago and was very disappointed as I only improved by 4 points (156V 154Q). I'm applying to schools in the NYC area (NYU, Baruch, Columbia). Should I take the GRE again prior to submitting my applications for the Fall 2017 semester?

Anyone got no acceptances?

Do you guys recommend using the same letter writers and the same recommendations from a previous admission cycle or will schools not think highly of that? -
When did you apply and what were your stats if you don't mind me asking?
-
Congraultations!!! Was it for the masters program?
-
There isn't a deadline per say because I've been advised to proceed as if I'm graduating so I have applied for graduation, but the issue is with like you said with hat and gown rentals, tickets, and if I do end up staying, registration for classes in next fall starts soon. However I called the graduate admissions office and they said that the admissions committee has just started looking at applications and that people should start hearing something within two weeks.
-
Thank you so much for the support. You're right, it would be more seemly to wait and give the committee a chance to review the applications. I got caught up in the whirlwind of acceptances and rejections, and lost track of my own situation. As for whether there is anything going on in my life, I would like to know as soon as possible because if I am accepted then I will graduate this year, but if I am not accepted then I can choose to graduate next year with a B.A. and a M.A. in applied behavioral psychology which is a bit far off from I/O psychology.

The deadline was March 15th. It is a Masters program in I/O Psych at Baruch and this is the only place I have not heard from. My only other school rejected me, so this is my last hope.
-
What do you guys think about emailing someone at the graduate school to ask for an update on the application process? I met the graduate director at a graduate school fair and have emailed back and forth when asking certain questions about the program. Submitted my applicaition March 15th so last minute.
-
Yeah I applied to the M.S. program. I forgot there are different deadlines for different programs.
-
Did you apply for the Fall 2016 semester, because I thought the deadline for that was March 15?
-
What schools are you waiting to hear from?

I'm still waiting to hear back from Baruch, although to be fair, I did apply just right before the deadline. -
Congratulations! When did you apply?
-
At one of their open houses they said, they take 3-4 weeks to process applications. I applied right before the deadline so fingers crossed.
-
@Prakriti when did you apply? and have you contacted them?
-
Has anyone heard back from Baruch?
