  1. Hey All! I just wanted to ask if anyone applied to MIIS' International Policy and Development program for Fall 2016? I just had my interview yesterday and wanted to see if anyone had heard back (either yes or no) on their application and roughly how long it took? Also, any feedback on the actual program itself would be amazing!
  2. Hi All, I'm in the process of applying to DePaul University's M.A. in International Studies program for Fall Quarter. Right now, I'm debating on my writing sample; the maximum length that I can submit is 8 pages from my undergraduate thesis. I've decided to select the analysis section of my paper, roughly around 5 pages, I'm wondering how much "background" on my research I should give prior to the actual analysis portion. I know that quantity doesn't always trump quality, but for some reason I feel weird not using all of the 8 pages allowed. What are your thoughts on this? DePaul is my top school and really want show the adcomm my best. The app is due on Friday and I would love all of your insight!
  3. I'm so nervous that I will not get into a program. I had some financial issues during my undergrad, so it took me a bit longer to complete the degree. But, I am multilingual and did relatively well in at my school (3.44 GPA) and have international experience in the meanwhile completing my degree (TAPIF in France). The only schools that require GRE scores (DePaul and Loyola) are, I think, relatively easy to get into. One of my LORs professors, really likes my research bc she is also a Franchist. What are your thought, do I have a chance? I'm freaking out!
