Man, has *anyone* heard from Wisconsin about funding? I emailed their grad student coordinator, who said that fellowship letters were sent out last Wednesday. So I know I'm out of the running. But I'm surprised no one here has said anything about it.
Thanks! That's awesome that your potential advisor is so awesome! What's your field, if you don't mind me asking? I emailed my PA and got a pretty basic "thank you for the email" kind of thing. Looks like just I'll be waiting for people to decline!
Hey, I'm glad you enjoyed Transient! We had a lot of fun making it. I'm seriously really glad the history crowd enjoys it.
Congrats! I am now terrified beyond capacity for rational thought, as getting pulled off the Indiana wait list is probably the only chance I have left.
On the subject of wine/champagne, I must say that living in the middle of a winery trail has been... fortuitous during this time of my life.
They just sent me the same email as the other wait lists. Only offer admission with full funding, may have a spot for me if funding becomes available, won't know for a while, etc. etc.
Hey, thanks! I'm actually a producer/etc. of the film (my husband directed it). You can watch it on YouTube at
Perhaps I should have sent copies of The Transient to the admissions committees. It might have have helped my cause...
Dudes, I hope some of you are rejecting Indiana and Chicago, because I'm wait-listed there and rejected everywhere else (except Wisconsin, which hardly counts without funding).
And I really don't want to go through this process again next year!
P.S. Hi everyone, I've been lurking for like a week here.
